The Daniel Library recently added the O'Flaherty Papers to its collection. J. Daniel O'Flaherty generously donated the papers of James C. O'Flaherty (1914-2002) to complement the Collection of Hamanniana and Nietzscheana (approximately 200 books) accessioned previously by The Citadel's Daniel Library. Together they constitute the largest holding of writings by or on the philosopher Johann Georg Hamann outside of Germany. Professor Albert E. Gurganus arranged and classified the newly acquired materials.
