Through the Lowcountry Digital Library, items from The Citadel Archives & Museum Civil War collection are viewable online. These unique items range from personal accounts of The Citadel during and after the Civil War to official documents and orders. One of the highlights is General Orders No. 50 which refers to the U.S. flag being raised at Fort Sumter on April 14, 1865.
We will continue to add material as the sesquicentennial commemoration draws near.
